Digital printing on planners in Cyprus

Full-colour digital printing on corporate planners — annual diary, weekly planner, 6-month or 12-month format. Pantone-matched short runs with no setup plates. MOQ 50, Limassol production, 14–18 business days, EUR quotes.

Why digital printing on a planner in Cyprus

Screen printing and offset printing on a planner require setup plates — a fixed cost per design and per colour — that makes short runs and full-colour artwork uneconomical. Digital printing has no setup plates, no minimum colour count, and can carry photographic full-colour artwork at the same unit price. A Nicosia cultural foundation commissioned 200 digitally printed planners for its year-end patron gift, in PU leather with a full-colour photographic cover of the foundation's signature mural. Screen printing washed out the photographic detail; offset printing required a 4-pass setup. Cost €14 per planner on a 165×240 mm B5 PU planner with 192 pages, full-colour digital cover, 200 units, 16 business days.

Cover stocks and finishes

Standard cover is uncoated card (400 gsm white or cream), sourced through a Limassol paper merchant. Premium cover: 400 gsm uncoated card with a soft-touch laminate. Eco cover: 400 gsm kraft card (recycled, GRS-certified). PU leather is also available at 1.4 mm thickness — digital printing on PU uses a UV flatbed at 1,440 dpi with white ink underlay for colour accuracy on dark stock, +€0.60 per planner uplift. Paper stock is 100 gsm Munken Pure for the premium tier, 80 gsm cream woodfree standard. Page formats are annual diary, weekly vertical, weekly horizontal, daily, and custom 6-month project planners.

Production specifics

Digital printing on a planner uses a dry-toner press (Xerox iGen 150) or a UV flatbed (Durst Tau 330) depending on cover stock. Dry-toner on uncoated card at 1,200 dpi is the standard for paper stocks. UV flatbed on PU leather at 1,440 dpi with white ink underlay is the standard for PU leather. Setup is included in the unit price — no plate cost, no screen cost. Standard production is full-colour on the front cover (single-side); a second inside-facing-side print is +€0.45 per planner; full back-side print is +€0.60 per planner. The planner is bound with PUR adhesive on the spine for a 180° lay-flat opening, and includes a sewn-in ribbon marker and a back-pocket envelope.

Bundling and packaging

Planners ship in individual rigid mailers (€0.85 per mailer uplift). Awards-night and VIP-gift deliveries are wrapped in black velvet presentation sleeves at €3.20 per unit. Bulk orders of 100+ planners are packed 12 per master carton. A Limassol hotel group required 200 planners individually wrapped and ribbon-tied for a VIP year-end amenity — €1.85 per planner for the ribbon and gift tag was the uplift.

Runs, lead times and budgets

MOQ is 50 planners. 100-unit runs unlock volume pricing at −€2.20 per unit. Lead time is 14–18 business days: 2 days artwork prep and proof, 2 days print setup, 5–8 days bind and assemble, 3 days QC and pack-out. EUR per unit at 100 quantity on a 165×240 mm B5 PU planner with 192 pages, full-colour digital print, weekly vertical: €14 (PU leather) to €8.40 (uncoated card). Setup is included in the unit price. Cyprus context

Digitally printed planners in Cyprus are most often ordered by Nicosia cultural foundations and patron-driven institutions for year-end VIP gifting (80–300 pieces per December), Limassol luxury hotels for VIP guest amenities (100–400 pieces per year), Larnaca accounting practices for partner and senior-staff planners (50–150 pieces per season), and Paphos wealth-management firms for new-client welcome kits (30–80 pieces per cohort). The peak season is October–December (year-end corporate gifting); a secondary peak is January–February (tax-season diaries). Production is in Limassol; collection from our warehouse is free, courier delivery to Nicosia is next-day, Paphos and Larnaca 1–2 days.

Why digital over offset and screen on a planner cover

Offset printing requires 4 plates per design and a 500-unit minimum to recover the plate cost — wrong for a 50-unit short run. Screen printing requires a screen per colour — wrong for full-colour photographic artwork. Digital printing has no minimum colour count, no plate cost, and the same unit price for full-colour as for single-colour. For a planner that carries a brand identity, a photographic cover, or any artwork with gradient or photographic detail, digital printing is the right call. Embossing or debossing will be quoted if your brief calls for a permanent impressed mark, but the standard recommendation for a corporate planner cover is digital print.

Frequently asked questions

What is the largest print size on a planner cover?

The standard print size is up to 165×240 mm — a full-cover print on a B5 planner. Most corporate planners use a 60×80 mm logo print on the front cover and a full-cover photographic or gradient print on the inside.

Can digital printing hold photographic detail and gradients?

Yes — digital printing on uncoated card carries photographic detail and gradient at 1,200 dpi. Photographic covers, gradient backgrounds and brand-image artwork are all within the standard capability of a dry-toner press.

Can digital printing include metallic or fluorescent colours?

Limited — standard digital is CMYK plus white (on UV flatbed). Metallic gold and silver are available as a fifth spot colour on the UV flatbed at +€0.45 per planner, but the result is a printed metallic effect, not a foil-shine. For a true metallic shine, foil blocking or debossing is the right method.

How durable is a digitally printed planner in daily use?

Digital print on uncoated card with a matte laminate survives 3+ years of daily carry. UV flatbed print on PU leather survives 5+ years of daily carry. Both options are scuff-resistant under normal use.

Is Corp Merch a partner or official supplier of any planner brand?

No — Corp Merch is an independent Limassol-based corporate-merch producer. We do not claim partnership, sponsorship or official affiliation with any paper stock brand, leather brand or merchandising supplier. All product names and brand references on this page are used for technical compatibility only.

Can each planner carry a unique name or number?

Yes — variable-data digital printing is included at no extra cost above the 50-unit baseline. We run the variable data as a single spot in the artwork (a name, a number, a date) and serialise against your recipient list.
