Brand book checklist for merch
Thirty points that check a brand book against production requirements.
Templates and checklists
Eight working documents: a brand book checklist and template, an RFP, a vendor scorecard, a welcome kit specification, a packaging brief and three planning worksheets.
These are the documents we use ourselves, cleaned up so you can work from them without asking us. They are free to download and there is no registration.
The brand book template covers fifty sections, from primary and secondary logos through exclusion zones, clear space and the full colour palette in Pantone, RGB, CMYK and hex. The brand book checklist is thirty points that check an incoming brand book against what production actually needs. The RFP template has fourteen sections for running a supplier competition, and the vendor evaluation checklist scores suppliers on eighty-five criteria with a weighted one-to-five scale; procurement teams in more than fifty programmes have used it.
The planning files do arithmetic rather than prose. The MOQ planning workbook takes a budget, a target unit count, the branding method and a packaging tier, and returns a feasibility check. The carbon calculation worksheet computes cradle-to-gate CO2e per item and per project on GHG Protocol Scope 1, 2 and 3 methodology, with material type, quantity, transport and packaging as inputs. The packaging design brief gives a designer twenty annotated sections to work from, and the welcome kit specification lists standard, premium and executive kit contents with material specs and branding requirements for each.
Each one opens with what it contains and what it is for.
