Digital printing on notebooks in Cyprus
Full-colour digital printing on notebooks — Pantone-matched short runs with no setup plates. PU leather, uncoated card and recycled cover. MOQ 30, Limassol production, 7–10 business days, EUR quotes.
Why digital printing on a notebook in Cyprus
Screen printing and offset printing on a notebook require setup plates — a fixed cost per design and per colour — that makes short runs and full-colour artwork uneconomical. Digital printing has no setup plates, no minimum colour count, and can carry photographic full-colour artwork at the same unit price. A Limassol creative agency commissioned 120 digitally printed notebooks for a client pitch handover, in PU leather with a full-colour photographic brand image and a custom dot-grid interior. Offset printing required a 4-pass setup and a 500-unit minimum; screen printing could not carry the photographic detail. Cost €5.80 per notebook on a 145×210 mm A5 PU leather notebook with full-colour digital print, 120 units, 8 business days.
Cover stocks and finishes
Standard cover is uncoated card (350 gsm white or cream), sourced through a Limassol paper merchant. Premium cover: 400 gsm uncoated card with a soft-touch laminate. Eco cover: 350 gsm kraft card (recycled, GRS-certified). PU leather is also available at 1.0 mm thickness — digital printing on PU uses a UV flatbed at 1,440 dpi with white ink underlay for colour accuracy on dark stock, +€0.40 per notebook uplift. Paper stock is 80 gsm cream woodfree, 100 gsm Munken Pure for the premium tier, and 90 gsm recycled for the eco-tier. Page formats are ruled, dot-grid, blank, or a custom 6-month planner layout.
Production specifics
Digital printing on a notebook uses a dry-toner press (Xerox iGen 150) or a UV flatbed (Durst Tau 330) depending on cover stock. Dry-toner on uncoated card at 1,200 dpi is the standard for paper stocks. UV flatbed on PU leather at 1,440 dpi with white ink underlay is the standard for PU leather. Setup is included in the unit price — no plate cost, no screen cost. Standard production is full-colour on the front cover (single-side); a second inside-facing-side print is +€0.30 per notebook; full back-side print is +€0.45 per notebook. The notebook is bound with PUR adhesive on the spine for a 180° lay-flat opening.
Bundling and packaging
Notebooks ship in individual clear poly sleeves (€0.10 per sleeve uplift). Awards-night and welcome-kit deliveries are wrapped in black velvet presentation sleeves at €2.20 per unit. Bulk orders of 100+ notebooks are packed 25 per master carton. A Limassol creative studio required 120 notebooks individually wrapped in tissue and ribbon for a client pitch handover — €1.20 per notebook for the gift wrap was the uplift.
Runs, lead times and budgets

Cyprus context
Digitally printed notebooks in Cyprus are most often ordered by Limassol creative and marketing agencies for client pitch handovers (60–200 pieces per pitch), Nicosia tech startups for new-hire welcome kits (50–150 pieces per cohort), Larnaca event organisers for conference delegate packs (200–800 pieces per event), and Paphos resort hotels for branded amenities (100–400 pieces per installation). The peak season is September–November (back-to-business) and April–June (event season). Production is in Limassol; collection from our warehouse is free, courier delivery to Nicosia is next-day, Paphos and Larnaca 1–2 days, Famagusta and the north coast on arrangement.
Why digital over offset and screen on a corporate notebook
Offset printing requires 4 plates per design and a 500-unit minimum to recover the plate cost — wrong for a 30-unit short run. Screen printing requires a screen per colour — wrong for full-colour photographic artwork. Digital printing has no minimum colour count, no plate cost, and the same unit price for full-colour as for single-colour. For a notebook that carries a brand identity, a photographic cover, or any artwork with gradient or photographic detail, digital printing is the right call. Embossing or foil will be quoted if your brief calls for a permanent impressed mark, but the standard recommendation for a corporate notebook cover is digital print.
Frequently asked questions
What is the largest print size on a notebook cover?
The standard print size is up to 145×210 mm — a full-cover print on an A5 notebook. Most corporate notebooks use a 60×40 mm logo print on the front cover and a full-cover photographic or gradient print on the inside.
Can digital printing hold photographic detail and gradients?
Yes — digital printing on uncoated card carries photographic detail and gradient at 1,200 dpi. Photographic covers, gradient backgrounds and brand-image artwork are all within the standard capability of a dry-toner press.
Can digital printing include metallic or fluorescent colours?
Limited — standard digital is CMYK plus white (on UV flatbed). Metallic gold and silver are available as a fifth spot colour on the UV flatbed at +€0.40 per notebook, but the result is a printed metallic effect, not a foil-shine. For a true metallic shine, foil blocking or debossing is the right method.
How durable is a digitally printed notebook in daily use?
Digital print on uncoated card with a matte laminate survives 3+ years of daily carry. UV flatbed print on PU leather survives 5+ years of daily carry. Both options are scuff-resistant under normal use.
Is Corp Merch a partner or official supplier of any notebook brand?
No — Corp Merch is an independent Limassol-based corporate-merch producer. We do not claim partnership, sponsorship or official affiliation with any paper stock brand, leather brand or merchandising supplier. All product names and brand references on this page are used for technical compatibility only.
Can each notebook carry a unique name or number?
Yes — variable-data digital printing is included at no extra cost above the 30-unit baseline. We run the variable data as a single spot in the artwork (a name, a number, a date) and serialise against your recipient list.
