Fifteen sector playbooks

Merchandise sourcing playbooks by industry

A sourcing playbook for each sector we supply, written around the constraints that sector actually works under: the compliance overlay a bank expects, the disclosure rules a biotech investor day runs into, the anniversary calendar a hotel chain works to.

Every playbook below follows the same shape, so it is quick to use in a buying meeting: the decision the sector is actually making, the kit composition that has worked for clients in that sector, the compliance requirements that apply to it, and a pilot plan with dates attached.

The pilot shape is deliberate. Week 1 is a discovery call and a spec lock. Week 2 ships five to ten production samples for sign-off. Weeks 3 and 4 run a 50 to 200 unit pilot, so quality control, packaging and shipping are tested at volume rather than on a desktop. The annual ramp starts in week 5 on a blanket purchase order with quarterly delivery. We reply to a brief within one business day with a kit composition, a supplier shortlist and a pilot timeline.

Compliance differs sharply between these sectors. A bank onboarding kit may need FIPS 140-2 Level 2 validated data carriers, a data processing agreement and deletion of recipient data within 30 days of fulfilment. A biotech investor day kit is restricted to public-disclosure-safe materials, encrypted and watermarked per recipient. A government contractor onboarding kit has to satisfy the tender requirements attached to the contract. Across all of them we hold colour to a Delta-E under 2 against the approved strike-off.
