Why digital printing on stickers in Cyprus
Screen-printed stickers require a screen per colour and a 500-unit minimum — wrong for a 50-unit short run. Flexo-printed stickers require a flexo plate and a 5,000-unit minimum — wrong for a 500-unit run. Digital printing on stickers has no setup plates, no minimum colour count, and can carry photographic full-colour artwork at the same unit price. A Larnaca craft brewery commissioned 400 digitally printed beer-bottle labels for a one-off seasonal release, in clear film with a full-colour crest. Stocks and finishes
Standard stock is 80 gsm paper (white, cream, kraft), gloss or matte finish. Premium stock: 80 µm white vinyl with permanent or removable adhesive. Eco stock: 80 gsm recycled paper with GRS certification, or 80 µm kraft paper with a compostable adhesive. Clear film is 80 µm clear polyester or 80 µm clear vinyl. All stock options are water-resistant to EN 60068-2-78 (humidity) and the vinyl options are UV-stable for 18 months outdoor. Lamination: none (standard), gloss (+€0.02 per piece), matte (+€0.02 per piece). Foil lamination (gold, silver, holographic) is +€0.08 per piece on a minimum order quantity of 500.
Production specifics
Digital printing on stickers uses a dry-toner press (Xerox iGen 150) for paper stocks at 1,200 dpi, and a UV inkjet (DurstTaqi 330) for vinyl and clear film at 1,440 dpi. Setup is included in the unit price — no plate cost, no screen cost. Standard production is full-colour on the front face (single-side). Die-cut format is a single shape with a custom cutting die (€85 die cost per design). Kiss-cut format is a sheet of identical or unique stickers, peelable from a backing sheet. Roll format is a continuous roll on a 38 mm or 76 mm core. Sheet format is a flat A4 or A3 sheet.
Bundling and packaging
Stickers ship in master packs of 500 or 1000 sheets per master carton. Awards-night and event-delivery stickers are pre-packed in clear poly sleeves of 25 stickers each (€0.10 per sleeve uplift). A Limassol event agency required 600 individually-skin hand-giveaway stickers for a wellness retreat — €0.18 per piece for the labour and the printed sticker labels was the uplift.

EUR per unit on 500 quantity on 70×100 mm die-cut stickers: €0.18 (paper) to €0.34 (vinyl) to €0.42 (clear film). Die-cut die cost is €85 per design; subsequent runs of the same die are no setup fee. All quotes EUR net, Cyprus VAT 19% added for taxable buyers.

For a sticker that carries photographic detail, a gradient or a brand identity, digital is the right call. Flexo will be quoted if your brief is for a 5,000+ unit run on a 1-2 colour flat logo — that flexo is the cost-efficient choice — but for a 100-1,000 unit run with photographic detail, digital is the only viable option.

The standard maximum sticker size is 200×280 mm — a die-cut on a sheet-fed press. Larger custom stickers up to 300×400 mm are possible on a UV flatbed at +€0.04 per piece. Minimum sticker size is 6×6 mm on a roll-fed press.
Can digital stickers hold photographic detail and gradients?
Yes — digital printing on paper carries photographic detail and gradient at 1,200 dpi. Photographic covers, gradient backgrounds and brand-image artwork are all within the standard capability of a dry-toner press.
Can digital stickers include metallic or fluorescent colours?
Limited — standard digital is CMYK plus white (on UV flatbed). Metallic gold and silver are available as a fifth spot colour on the UV flatbed at +€0.04 per piece. For a true metallic foil shine, foil lamination is +€0.08 per piece on a 500-piece minimum order quantity.
How durable is a digitally printed sticker outdoors?
Vinyl stickers with UV-stable ink and gloss laminate survive 18+ months outdoor. Paper stickers survive 6-12 months indoor; outdoor paper stickers fade within 4-6 months even with a gloss laminate. Clear film stickers survive 12+ months indoor and outdoor with a gloss laminate.
